5 Years down eternity to go

Eli and I hot air ballooning for Thanksgiving 08

Eli and I were married 5 years ago today in the Salt Lake City Temple. We were married at 3:50pm, so we weren't one of those couples who had to get up way early. As part of family tradition I got up and had a really nice breakfast of crepes made by dad. Then went and got my hair done from a friend that I worked with. I came home got a fathers blessing finished getting ready and drove up to the temple with my parents. Due to the sun setting early in January Eli and I had to get our pictures taken first. We had some tech. difficulties that added to the day, but it was all worth it.
Eli's 26th birthday

I would like to thank our parents for helping to make that day special, for fulfilling a little girls dream. I am so glad that my dad was called to be the Bishop of the BYU 149th ward so that I could fall in love with the EQP. Eli and I have discussed whether we believe in one true love, its funny because we both don't, unless your talking about us. When we look back on our lives its amazing how what was happening in his life was reflected in mine in some way or another. The Lord definantly had a plan for us, and that was to be together forever. In Utah visiting

I would also like to thank Eli for making everyday since special. Eli is so great at being a friend a confidant, someone with a shoulder to cry on, a dad, and my husband. I am so happy that I get to be with my bestfriend for eternity. Applewood farms for Thanksgiving 06

I am trying to scan some of our wedding photos onto the computer so the photos have all been taken in the last five years. Trying to find photos of us together was a challenge so I am making a New Years Resoultion to take more photos that have both of us in them. What can I say when you have two kids, someone has to be in the photo with the girls while someone else takes the picture.Cruise to the Carribean 06

One of our favorite Places to eat:

It's funny how when Eli and I plan our trips in Utah we always talk about food. One of our favorite places is Training Table. When we go, we all go the whole fam damily. We realize that we can on occasion be loud so we always sit off to the side were there is only one way in and out, which helps with the little kiddos. If you haven't ever been there it is a hamburger place that you order over a phone at your booth. Dad and Mom

The Flowers are taking over

Remember those flowers we planted for FHE one night? Before we left for Utah I watered them really well, and then placed them in a tray so they could drain and then suck the water back up if needs be. Well they did really well while we were gone, a little to well. Have you ever scene paper whites get this big before? They are so big they can't all stand up on their own. They are also so big I couldn't get them all in the photo's. They were so great to watch grow but now they are a little bit of a nusence. I have no idea why they did so well. Nothing I have tried to grow thus far stays alive, however the plants that I neglected are still alive.

If its not broken why fix it?

All my life I have gone to the same dentist. I can honestly say that I love him, like an uncle. So when we are in Ut I go to the dentist. Eli and I decided that it would be a good idea to get Aubree in for a visit. In June she had her first visit, which was not really a visit she met the Dr. Farley and took a ride in the chair. So being the great mom that I am I thought lets go in on her birthday and have a real check-up. I didn't mean to schedule on her birthday, it was just that her birthday was on a Monday and I thought it would be best to just get it over with. So Eli and I took her, Hayley got to stay with Gran.(lucky her) Aubree was doing ok until the Dr. Farley said that becuause she is stil missing a tooth he needed to take some x-rays. Because Aubs is only 3 and very tiny Dr. Farley had Eli hold her on his lap.
So here is Eli and Aubree getting their lead vest on:Getting the "pictures of her teeth", she was not very happy with us
After she was done she acted like nothing ever happend.
It turns out she does have a tooth there, it is just slow coming in. Just FYI. In the end she got to pick something out of the treasure box, and lunch from McDonalds out of it so all in all a pretty good way to start out the special day.

Bake me a cake as fast as you can

This year we were in Utah for Aubree's birthday. My sister is this amazing cake decorator so I enlisted her to do the cake. Well she decided that instead of her just doing it she was going to teach me how. It was a lot more work to prep then I thought it would be but it was a lot of fun. Aubree had been asking for a DORA cake so that's what we did. Here we are getting started:

Half way it looks a little creepy:

It turned out really good and I was really happy with it. I will defiantly be trying this again.

Leaving on a jet plane

A Jet Blue plane that is. After a stressful drive home to So. Cal in July Eli and I decided it would be totally be worth the money to fly to UT for Christmas. Being the great deal hunter he is, he found us ridiculously cheap flights especially that close to Christmas. So this is us on our way to Ut. After parking the car in the long term parking lot we realized that I had forgot my cell phone, so we checked our bags and then went back to the car to get it. 10 days is a little long to not have your cell phone. What ever did we do with out them? The girls were great in the airport and the whole 1 hr 45 min flight, do to tail winds it only took us about 1 hr and 20 min. It was some tail wind apparently.
This is my cute family at the Long Beach Airport:
Hayley just wanted to play on the ground and drink her dr. pepper; guess she takes after her unlces.
On the plane Aubree played with her new sticker book and watched a movie, she is really very good on airplanes:
Until right before she fell asleep Hayley thought the TV was something to eat. We couldn't get her to stop. Its not as if it was on the food network, it was just on a comercial.

WARNING!!!!

Since I am using this as a journal, I am trying to catch up. I haven't posted in a while so there might be a lot.
