For your viewing pleasure

Today Aubree decided that she would like to take some pictures. Then after taking them she kept looking at them over and over on the camera, she was so proud.

The mini fridge with all the alphabet magnents in the exact order she wanted them:
Picture of mommy and daddy looking like a princess and her prince (wedding photo)
Her unicorn that she took to school to be her "share" item with baby Ariel:
Self portrait:
Self portrait with an even bigger smile

How can story time with daddy get any better?

Have him read you while while laying in your sleeping bag:You would have though it was Christmas, they were so excited.

Love this girl..

Aubree honestly went to school dressed like this. I figure if she doesn't care what others think maybe I shouldn't either. After I take her picture she always wants to see it, after checking this photo she especially liked how she positioned her foot. "doesn't that look so cute mama?" She melts my heart.

I scream you scream we all scream for.....

ICE CREAM!!!!!! While at grandma's she gave the girls a little treat, and Aubree couldn't stop saying, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream". Hilarious, she probably said it 100 times, and then looked at me and said hey that's funny I scream is just like Ice cream. I love it when I can almost see her brain working.

Whats more annoying than a mesquito?

The owner of this "smart" car decided that we all needed to hear her whole conversation. The one good thing I could say about her is at least she was using her hands free. Have you ever seen a more redicilous looking car? A smart car that is a convertible is one thing, but one that has pink detailing? Seriously if you look at the dash you would see that it is also pink. I wonder how much extra that was??? She could have settled for a red clown nose and gotten the same amount of attention.

First day of the 2010 school year

This morning was not off to a good start at 6am when the girls decided to wake up at least an hour earlier than usual. So being someone who loves sleep, I convinced the girls it was too early to wake up and got them to both go back to sleep. At 7:15 Aubree woke up and was in a very good mood, and was very excited about going back to school. Hayley woke up at 8 and cried and cried. We tried everything; breakfast, which made her cry even more. We tried taking her upstairs with us to watch TV and lay in our bed while we finished getting ready that made her cry even more. Eli and I didn't know what to do. Eli kept asking her what was wrong and she kept crying. Finally Aubree walked in and asked her if she was sad because Aubree was going to school. Hayley said yes through her tears, we explained to her that Aubree would be back soon then she thought. But that didn't seem to matter, she just didn't want Aubree to go. The one thing that helped was having the exact same outfit for Hayley as Aubree was wearing. After we got her dressed Hayley was happy to be matching Aubree and was very excited to have their pictures taken together. I am happy to announce that there we no more tears from any of us. When we left to go pick Aubree up from school you would have thought it was Christmas Hayley was so excited she could hardly keep still long enough for me to click her in her seat.
Sometimes its hard to like your sister soooo much!

Labor day, All aboard

This last Labor day we took the family to Travel Town. It was a huge success, all the kids plus the dads had a blast. It was so impressive to see how huge the trains are compared to Papa and his yahoots. For an added bonus the daddies took all the kids on the train that circled the whole train park.(dang camera isn't fast enough so this is the only picture that actually had the fronts of people)

What would be a family gathering without a meal at.... RED ROBINSuch a great photo, you can see all 11 of us, we were only missing Trey and Hope. We missed you.

Oooops sorry....

Eli was out of town a couple of weeks ago so the girls and I spend a couple of days up and Grandma and Grandpas. When I got home there was a note on our door apologizing for this:CRASH!!!! CRUNCH!!!!!!!!! OOPS!!!!! SORRY!!!!!!!!
Of course Eli was out of town, and I got to be the one to make the phone call and tell him that his first baby " the yellow dart" was hit by our old manager and her suburban. So for the last 2 weeks "the yellow dart" has been at the auto mechanic and Eli has been driving a Jetta. We just got a form in the mail from the insurance company stating that 42 different things either had to be replaced or fixed. We are so sad, but will be very glad to have "the yellow dart" back in our lives.

Don't eat that bite......

Eating at Grandma and Grandpa's is always a game of don't eat that bite. Grandpa usually sits between the girls and puts a bite of food on each fork and then warning them to not eat it. Well we ate dinner one night and Grandpa wasn't home from work yet so their favorite Uncle Kaleb was there to step in. The girls always have a lot of fun with Kaleb but don't they look especially happy? Thanks Uncle Kaleb!!!!!!

Mini VACA

A couple of weeks ago went on a mini vacation with the girls. We decided to take them about an hour and a half north of LA to a city called Camarillo. We had a really fun time. It started out with a little shut eye on the way
Then we went put put golfing. Hayley was wondering where the ball went???? Since the girls were too young to drive the bumper cars they decided driving the bat mobile would have to suffice. The girls loved loved loved the pool at the hotel, mom just liked the hot tub
Because our hotel had a very nice fire pit we decided it would be fun to roast marshmallows. Well as luck would have it the fire pit didn't work, but the gas BBQ worked great. We were thrilled that Uncle Luke and Whitney were able to come up and play with us.
The best quote of the night was by Aubree, we let them stay up late and play with us and watch a movie. Aubree came over and asked Eli, "daddy is this what you and mom do every night after we go to sleep?" So sweet...
The week end was so fun, but ended a little sad. As we were getting ready to leave Aubree was "dummy checking" the room and tripped and cut her eye right under eyebrow open. We took her to the urgent care and the dr said it didn't need stitch's it could be glued together. Aubree did really well and didn't cry at all once the nurse started working on her. Here are the girls waiting for the nurseAll and all we had a really good weekend and can't wait to go on another mini vaca.

Cowboy up

We took the girls to ride the pony's at Griffith Park. They had so much fun. Aubree insisted on wearing her ballet leotard.
Hayley was ready in her Dora boots. I was really impressed that they both got on the horses with out any hesitation. Like father like daughters

When your the best of friends

My girls love love love each other. It makes me so happy to hear them early in the morning chit chatting and laughing before Eli and I are awake. Aubree and Hayley have so much fun together, and that makes my heart happy. Here they are playing pretty pretty princessAren't they the cutest princess on the face of the earth? Why sit on the bench of the table when you can sit on top? Princess sit on top mom....

Build a zoo animal......

In July we went to Utah and for some added fun, as if seeing Gran and Papa isn't enough we went to Build a Bear. Aubree decided she wanted a Pink Flamingo named Sparkle
And Hayley got a monkey named Princess
The girls had a lot of fun kissing and loving the hearts before their animals were sewn up. Aubree's favorite part was picking clothes for them, Hayley's favorite part was giving them a bath
We had so much fun and the girls love love love their animals.
