A couple of weekends ago it was so beautiful outside that we decided to go for a walk. Eli, Hayley, myself, and of course Cinderella Aubree. Yes that's right when Aubree is dressed up she is that person's name and then her's. Cinderella Aubree thought it would be fun to play game while we were out for our walk so Eli asked her what color of flowers she would like to see. She decided white, yellow, and purple. The yellow was for daddy, purple for Cinderella Aubree, and white for mommy. As we walked we smelled all different flowers but she only wanted yellow, purple, and white. As the walk was coming to an end we finally found a white flower, she was so happy to give it to me. As soon as she gave it to me I put it behind my ear which she thought was so beautiful and for the rest of the walk home she had to put one behind her ear, the only snag was that her ear is so small the only flower we could get to stay in her ear was the yellow one. How fun for something to be so simple but yet so neat to her. I think sometimes we take things for granted that at some point were really neat to us.

Scavenger Hunt

I love the idea of a scavenger hunt on a walk. That is how I got my boys through art museums for years. We'd pick up a pamphlet at the door showing items in the exhibit and the boys had to search the room to find them. It was a quick walk through, but we did get through. Getty Center and Getty Villa provide cards for the kids for just this purpose. Of course, we couldn't pick the art and put it behind our ears...
