This last Labor day we took the family to Travel Town. It was a huge success, all the kids plus the dads had a blast. It was so impressive to see how huge the trains are compared to Papa and his yahoots.
For an added bonus the daddies took all the kids on the train that circled the whole train park.
(dang camera isn't fast enough so this is the only picture that actually had the fronts of people)
What would be a family gathering without a meal at.... RED ROBINSuch a great photo, you can see all 11 of us, we were only missing Trey and Hope. We missed you.

Oooops sorry....
Eli was out of town a couple of weeks ago so the girls and I spend a couple of days up and Grandma and Grandpas. When I got home there was a note on our door apologizing for this:CRASH!!!! CRUNCH!!!!!!!!! OOPS!!!!! SORRY!!!!!!!!
Of course Eli was out of town, and I got to be the one to make the phone call and tell him that his first baby " the yellow dart" was hit by our old manager and her suburban. So for the last 2 weeks "the yellow dart" has been at the auto mechanic and Eli has been driving a Jetta. We just got a form in the mail from the insurance company stating that 42 different things either had to be replaced or fixed. We are so sad, but will be very glad to have "the yellow dart" back in our lives.

Mini VACA
A couple of weeks ago went on a mini vacation with the girls. We decided to take them about an hour and a half north of LA to a city called Camarillo. We had a really fun time. It started out with a little shut eye on the way
Then we went put put golfing. Hayley was wondering where the ball went????
Since the girls were too young to drive the bumper cars they decided driving the bat mobile would have to suffice.
The girls loved loved loved the pool at the hotel, mom just liked the hot tub
Because our hotel had a very nice fire pit we decided it would be fun to roast marshmallows. Well as luck would have it the fire pit didn't work, but the gas BBQ worked great.
We were thrilled that Uncle Luke and Whitney were able to come up and play with us.
The best quote of the night was by Aubree, we let them stay up late and play with us and watch a movie. Aubree came over and asked Eli, "daddy is this what you and mom do every night after we go to sleep?" So sweet...
The week end was so fun, but ended a little sad. As we were getting ready to leave Aubree was "dummy checking" the room and tripped and cut her eye right under eyebrow open. We took her to the urgent care and the dr said it didn't need stitch's it could be glued together. Aubree did really well and didn't cry at all once the nurse started working on her. Here are the girls waiting for the nurse
All and all we had a really good weekend and can't wait to go on another mini vaca.

Cowboy up
We took the girls to ride the pony's at Griffith Park. They had so much fun. Aubree insisted on wearing her ballet leotard.
Hayley was ready in her Dora boots. I was really impressed that they both got on the horses with out any hesitation. Like father like daughters

When your the best of friends
My girls love love love each other. It makes me so happy to hear them early in the morning chit chatting and laughing before Eli and I are awake. Aubree and Hayley have so much fun together, and that makes my heart happy. Here they are playing pretty pretty princessAren't they the cutest princess on the face of the earth? Why sit on the bench of the table when you can sit on top? Princess sit on top mom....

Build a zoo animal......
In July we went to Utah and for some added fun, as if seeing Gran and Papa isn't enough we went to Build a Bear. Aubree decided she wanted a Pink Flamingo named Sparkle
And Hayley got a monkey named Princess
The girls had a lot of fun kissing and loving the hearts before their animals were sewn up. Aubree's favorite part was picking clothes for them, Hayley's favorite part was giving them a bath
We had so much fun and the girls love love love their animals.
